This episode is all about journeys.  The journey of a mother through her 17 year cancer experience.  The journey of a daughter who was with her every step of the way, and the 25 year long journey of a very special book.  A book that was started by Marilyn Anne Hughes when she was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and the 8 year journey to finish the book by her daughter Emily Hughes Johnson. 

In this episode, my guest Emily Johnson shares her powerful story for fulfilling her mother’s dying wish: to finish and publish her manuscript.

It was such an honor to have Emily Johnson on the show! She she shared her authentic self, how it feels to grow up with a mom with terminal cancer, to growing through grief and how she became an unexpected published author.

Wow! What a story. We are convinced that Emily Johnson’s life could easily become a movie someday. Emily is a fellow author, but she came to writing in a much less conventional way than Bunny did.
